AISSCE-CBSE Class 12 Geography, Survey

AISSCE-CBSE Class 12 Geography (029) land use field survey to Gujrehra Village, Distt Kangra on 18th October 2019

This year’s grade XII Geography local level land use field survey was conducted in Gujrehra village on the 18th of October, 2019. Geographically, it’s located in the north-west roughly (32° 8'8.43"N and 76°26'42.54"E) 2.5 km away from our school. Prior to the initial survey, the instructor has formed 14 groups comprising 6 members in each with the concerned group leaders. The leaders were assigned the duties of taking their members to the chosen field area with respect to the AISSCE-CBSE Geography (029) survey questionnaire guidelines.

After conducting the survey, the collected data are compiled, tabulated and statistically processed to turn them into useful information. By studying and analyzing the survey information, we succeeded in understanding the general land-use patterns, sources of income, types of livestock and other activities that have been taking place in Gujrehra village.

All India Council for Robotics & Automation.

All India Council for Robotics & Automation has organized World Record of Largest robotics training on 19^th October, Saturday. 2019. In this event, 40,000 students have participated and trained Pan-India. Students from all over the country participated this event and commemorated with knowledge and have hands-on experience on robotics under the guidance of research personal.

An educational tour excursion was organized for the class Xth students on 14th October 2019. In this excursion, the 72 students along with their teachers have visited two reputed institutes at Palampur.

Mrs. Payal Dhar and their team visited different labs of The Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT) and Chaudhary Sarvan Kumar Agriculture University, Palampur Himachal Pradesh. These Institutes are reputed and well-known Biotechnology research institute nationally

The purpose of the visit was to educate the students towards various current research activities that have been practiced in the premier research labs in the government sector. Major visit of labs was done in ‘biodiversity, plant tissue culture, natural product chemistry, and process development’; advance molecular biology lab; plant biotechnology labs and Bamboo house, etc.
Students were also visited different Departments of CSK HPKV Palampur where students got a chance of demonstration of state of art agricultural technology. During the visit, students interacted with various scientists and discussed the basics of various research programs in IHBT & CSKHPKV Agriculture University Palampur.

SCIENCE AND MATH QUIZ - 2019

On 11th Oct. 2019, TCV Gopalpur held its Annual Science and Maths Quiz at our school hall-“Sherab Woenang”. Mr. Tsering Topgyal (TGT Science) was the chairperson of the Quiz.

The Quiz was divided into four rounds and participants were divided into six groups as decided. Each group was having four participants. Thus, there were 24 participants.

The Invention and Discovery round was conducted by Mrs. Payal Dhar.
The Jackpot round was conducted by Mrs. Sarita Patyal.
The Visual round was conducted by Miss Tsering Dickyi.
And finally, the Specialized round was conducted by Mrs. Tenzin Dolma.

All the groups participated actively but at the end “What's up” group won the 2019 Science and Maths Quiz. The runner up group was the “Google” group.

The prize was distributed by our School Principal Mr. Phuntsok Tashi. Along with the winners and participants of the quiz, the prize was also distributed to the best project holders and wall Quiz winner.

The Quiz program was very informative and knowledge enriching for the participants as well as for the audience who were seated on the floor and the stage was wonderfully decorated by Class IX B students.

World Mental Health Day (Suicide Prevention)

On 10th October every year, World Mental Health Day is observed. This year the theme for the day is “Suicide Prevention”. Our school health club organizes a small program to work a day during morning assembly. We had a day introduction, shared some facts and figures, ways to bring mental well being and a Zumba Dance.

A football match organized by TSEYTHANG GANGLA on World Peace Day (21st September, 2019) was held at Dharamshala. Our Under 10 Girls team bagged the 2nd position and our boys’ team bagged the 1st position. They brought the trophy home and on behalf of all the school staffs and students, we would like to thank Gen.Wangchuk la for his regular training and providing his coaching to our teams.

The 21st Inter-House Athletics meet was held on 5th October. On this occasion, Shri Ashish Butail ji , Member of Legislative assembly has honoured the occasion as the Chief Guest and Mr Phuntsok Namgyal (1st Director of TCV Gopalpur) as a guest of honour (1997-2004).
